A Pair of Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema or Theatre Chairs Seats Red Leatherette REF33
A pair of vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930 cinema, theatre seats or chairs, upholstered in a red leatherette material. The seats are formed with the backs being curved and having a polished wooden top rim. To the centre of the top rim there is a fitted seat number these are 18 & 19. The seat backs are then padded and upholstered in the red leatherette material. The backs of the seats are polished wood and the centre is painted black. The seat bases fold down and are again padded and upholstered in the red leatherette.The bottoms of the seats are covered in a black board. The arms on the cinema seats are made from cast iron which has been painted black. To the tops of the arm sections there is a shaped and polished wooden arm rest. The chairs date to around 1930 and were originally fitted in a cinema near Watford and then a private boys school. The chairs freestand fine, but can be screwed down to the floor or to a wooden mount. The chairs would be ideal for use in a hallway, hairdressers, cafe seating, barbers shop, small pub, home cinema or just as a talking point.

Condition
The condition of the seats are excellent, there is light marks on the leatherette. There is light scuffs and marks to the bases and arm rests and again light marks on the cast iron. Overall very good for all the use they have had for 90 years.
