A pair of great looking Early C20th French carved walnut open arm chairs raised on cabriole supports, which have been reupholstered in a light blue material. The chairs frames are made from walnut, which has a good rich colour. The chairs are formed with the back being domed, and having moulded edge to it. The arms of the chairs come out from the back and are shaped and again have the moulded edge to them. The chair back, seat and arm rests are deeply padded and upholstered in a sky blue material which has a deeper blue pattern in it making it look a little like crushed velvet. They are then finished with a blue edging trim. To the centre of the front of the chair it has a carved scroll. The chair is raised on carved cabriole legs to the front with casters and then shaped back legs. The pair of chairs have been reupholstered at some point. The chair date to around 1920.
