A Georgian Oak 3 Drawer Lowboy, Crossbanded in Mahogany & Raised on Cabriole Supports
A Georgian oak three drawer lowboy, crossbanded in mahogany and raised on cabriole supports. The lowboy is made from oak, which has a good colour and grain patination. The lowboy is formed with it having a rectangular top with moulded edge. Around the edge of the top it is crossbanded in mahogany giving a bit of contrast. It is also crossbanded around the drawers and front. To the front it has three drawers, a long thin central drawer and then two larger square formed drawers one either side. The whole lowboy has a shaped apron on the bottom. The lowboy is raised on square back legs and then cabriole supports to the front. The lowboy dates to around 1800.
