A Georgian Mahogany Four Drawer Bedside Chest of Drawers, Raised on Bracket Feet

A Georgian mahogany bedside chest of four graduated drawers, raised on bracket feet. The chest is made from mahogany, which has a good colour and grain patination. The chest is set with the top being rectangular and having a stepped underside rim. To the front it is set with four graduated drawers, each set with central circular lacquered brass handles. The whole chest is raised on bracket feet. To either side of the chest there is ornate large brass drop carry handles, adding a little extra design to the chest. The chest dates to around 1800, and has probably been converted from a commode to being just a chest.

Condition
The condition of the chest is excellent, there is an old filled age related split on the top. It has light scuffs, overall an excellent chest of small size.
