A C19th Carved Oak Hall or Bedroom Chair Raised on Turned Supports

A C19th carved oak hall or bedroom chair, which has upholstered back and seat base and is raised on turned and fluted supports. The chair is made from oak, which has a good rich colour and grain patination. The chair is formed with it having a tall back rest, this has turned and fluted side supports. The centre of the back rest is has a deeply padded and upholstered back rest. This is upholstered in a beige material which has stylised designs in it. To the top of the chair it has a carved pediment. The chair base is set with a drop in seat, again padded and upholstered in the same material. The base of the chair is carved and turned with cross supports. The chair dates to around 1870.

Condition
The condition of the chair is excellent, with light scuffs and marks. The material on the back and base has a few light marks but overall is very good.
