A C19th Arts and Crafts Carved and Turned Ash Bedroom Side Chair
A great looking late C19th Arts and Crafts carved, inlaid and turned ash bedroom or side chair, raised on turned supports. The chair is made from ash and walnut, which has a good colour. The chair is formed with the back support having turned columns to either side and then shaped, carved and pierced back splat. The central back splat is inlaid, and pierced and has a real Arts and Crafts look to it. The top of the back rest is shaped and inlaid with various woods. The seat base of the chair is shaped and has been reupholstered in a beige velvet material with blue and white trim around the edge. The base of the chair is raised on turned supports with turned cross stretcher. The chair dates to around 1890-1900.

The condition of the chair is excellent, with an odd light scuff, nothing major ready to be used. It has been reupholstered at some point.
