A C1940s Mahogany Fall Front Bureau with Fitted Interior Raised on Cabriole Supports

A circa 1940s mahogany fall front bureau, with fitted interior raised over squat cabriole supports. The bureau is made from mahogany which has a good rich grain patination and great colour. The bureau is formed with the fall front being done in book matched quarterly veneer. To the base it is set with three full length storage drawers. When you open the bureau the support arms come out at the same time to support the front. Inside the bureau it is fitted with a small storage drawer to either side. It then has lots of pigeon holes for storage. To the front of the fall front it is inset with a brown leatherette writing pad. The whole bureau is raised on squat cabriole supports. The bureau dates to around the 1940s and comes with all its original fittings and key for the fall front.

Condition
The condition of the bureau is very good, with it having light scuffs, scratches and marks, from years of use. But overall it’s very good and ready to be placed and used.
