A Large Victorian Inlaid Mahogany Cased Junghans Bracket Clock C1880
A Large Victorian Inlaid Mahogany cased eight day bracket clock, by Junghans and chiming quarterly on a coiled gong and gong rods. The clock is formed with it being in a mahogany case which has a stepped base and decorative mouldings around it. To the top and front of the clocks case it is inlaid with satinwood. The inlay is very ornate and decorative. Opening the front glazed door it revels a dome topped dial. it has a main silvered chapter ring with blacked numbers. There are two small silvered dials at the top, one for slow/fast and the other chime or silent. The rest of the dial is brass which is engraved with swirls, flower heads etc. Opening the back door it shows the movement and the gong rods and the coiled gong. The movement is marked for Junghans and the numbers B09. The clock comes with its original pendulum and key. The clock dates to around 1880.

Condition
The condition of the clock is very good, with light scuffs and marks to the case. The clock seems to be working away fine but hasn’t been checked over a long period of time.
