An Arts and Crafts Oak Open Arm Chair with Leather Seat

An Arts and Crafts carved oak open arm chair, set with leather seat pad and raised on tapering spade supports. The chair is made from solid oak, which has a good colour and grain patination. The chair is formed with the back support of the chair being tall. The back has a shaped top rail and then five slat backs. The central three have a carved design to them. The arms on the chair come out from the back and curve round. The seat is set with an aged brown leather drop in seat pad. The chair is raised on carved square supports to the front with tapering spade feet. The back legs are angled. The chair dates to around 1910-20.
