A Quality Mahogany Tamber Fronted Ladies Desk with Fitted Interior

A quality Victorian style mahogany tamber fronted ladies desk, with fitted interior, pull out leather writing slope and raised on tapering supports. The desk is made from mahogany, which has a great rich colour and grain patination. The desk is formed with it having a tamber front, which works perfect and can be locked down. Below the desk section there is two short top drawers, which are lined in oak. Each has there original drop handles, and key to lock the drawers. On either side of the desk there is a pull out slide, which adds extra work space. Opening the desk it is fitted to the base with various pigeon holes, and small drawers. To the base of the desk it is fitted with a light tan brown leather writing desk. The whole base section slides forward to reveal the whole wiring desk. This will then lift up to have a small storage area underneath and also the leather slope will clip into various position for work purposes. The whole desk is raised on tapering square supports with casters to the base. The whole desk is of a good quality and probably dates to the 1940s but if of Victorian in style.

The condition of the desk is excellent, with light scuffs and marks but overall ready to be placed and used.
