A Quality Early C20th Oak & Silver Plated Tea Caddy Engraved Decoration
A great quality early C20th English oak and silver plated tea caddy, with engraved decoration, twin handles and raised on bun feet. The tea caddy is formed with it having the main body made from English oak, which has a good colour and grain patination. The caddy is then bound in silver plate. The caddy has silver plated cover, which has engraved decoration of butterflies, acorns, leaves and sticks. To either side it has the ornate silver plated shaped drop handles with finials at the bottom. The caddy has a banded silver plated edge, attached with small round headed screws. Opening the tea caddy it has a two section interior. The whole tea caddy is raised on bun feet. The tea caddy dates from around 1900.

Condition
The condition of the tea caddy is excellent, with light wear to the silver plate on the cover and screw heads. There is no key but its open and the lid fits well.
