A Victorian carved, painted and waxed two door display cabinet, with purple velvet covered interior shelves and floral velvet back. The cabinet is made from mahogany but has had a painted finish added this modernises the cabinet and gives it more appeal we feel. The cabinet has been painted in a cream paint, which has a textured finish on it. It has then been waxed with a light bit of colour added to heighten the painted finish and add a little shine. The cabinet is formed with it having two astrical glazed doors to the front. To the bottom of either door there is a carved round panel fitted on either door. Between the doors there is a bow fronted glazed viewing panel. Opening the doors it is set with three fitted shelves. These have been lined in a purple velvet material. The back of the cabinet has had a new back panel fitted this has been covered in a purple and cream velvet material decorated with flowers, leaves and vines. When the doors open there is a storage area at the bottom. To the top of the cabinet it is carved with a blind fret carving and a stepped and moulded edge. The whole cabinet is raised on tapering spade feet. The whole cabinet dates to around 1890.

Condition
The condition of the cabinet is excellent, with the painted finish not original. The cabinet has light knocks on the original wood so still shows it age. The shelf and back linings are replacements. The back board is also a replacement. Overall a great cabinet with a modern feel to it.
